Cleaning Tips For Your Office

If you have brass fixtures in your office and you want them to look new again, here’s a tip for the do-it-yourselfer. All you need is some vinegar, salt, and flour. Mixing these into a paste is simple and easy to do. Use 1 teaspoon of salt. Dissolve into one-half cup of vinegar, and add enough flour to make a paste. Rub the mixture onto the brass and leave on for 10 minutes (you can spot check). Rinse with arm water and buff dry.

Another tip: If your grout is looking gray these days, and it’s supposed to be white, you can mix a paste of water and baking soda, and use an old electric toothbrush to scrub the floor clean. After you’re finished with the grout, wipe the floor clean with soap and water.

Another tip: Keep ceiling fans clean. Vacuum the blades on both sides. When finished, use a mild soap and water and wipe the blades clean. A spray furniture wax can be used on the top portion of the blades to keep dust from sticking to the blades. This also makes it easier to clean next time.

Many smaller offices involve the entire staff in an “office cleaning day.”  Team work gets the job done fast. Then the boss buys lunch.  Can’t beat that!

If you’re not interested in cleaning your own office, N&A Commercial Cleaning is available 24/7. We clean on your terms. A whole-office cleaning can be done when the office is closed or on weekends.
